Join Us as a Volunteer Trustee – Safeguarding Fell Ponies and Britain’s Wild Uplands
Are you a visionary leader passionate about native ponies, conservation, heritage, and rural communities? The Fell Pony Heritage Trust is expanding its Board of Trustees and welcomes individuals with expertise in:
• Finance
• Company/Charity Law
• Conservation, Biodiversity, or Hill Farming
• Community Engagement or Education
• Funding or Fundraising
As a Volunteer Trustee, You Will:
• Shape our strategic direction, ensuring we protect Fell ponies and preserve their place in their native uplands of Cumbria.
• Strengthen governance and champion financial stewardship, safeguarding the Trust's legacy for future generations.
• Advocate for the vital, often overlooked, role of native ponies in maintaining biodiversity and supporting rural livelihoods.
• Be a voice for nature and farming, helping us raise national awareness and secure support for these remarkable ponies and the communities they are still a part of.
• Proactive in Securing Funding: Skilled at identifying relevant grant opportunities and funding sources, with a proven ability to craft compelling applications that secure vital support for our work.
• Creative Fundraising Mindset: Brings innovative ideas to fundraising initiatives, especially those that highlight and celebrate the unique cultural heritage of Fell ponies.
