Our Patron - Adam Day

I am honoured to be Patron of the Fell Pony Heritage Trust. To me these magnificent ponies are a valuable and meaningful part of Cumbria’s rich heritage in farming, mining and other industry. Sadly, like hill sheep farming in the fells and dales of our beloved county, our hill-going fell ponies are under threat. We must do all we can to preserve and enhance what makes Cumbria unique and special. This includes our Fell Ponies and the people who breed them to live and thrive on those fells alongside the hefted sheep.
