Country Fest weekend

A great two full sunny days at Country Fest, Crooklands, Cumbria for the first weekend in June; the first day we were right next to a huge, very noisy, and entertaining Red Arrows flight simulator machine, not a good mix when talking about Fell ponies on the peaceful fells, we do get some jet aircraft flying through a couple of times a week but not all day. So the second day the organisers kindly helped us move further away which was more peaceful and we set up the FPHT stand early on Sunday morning.

The Show was considered a success with summery spectators passing with many stopping to ask questions about the Hill Bred Fell Ponies. We love to talk to everyone and make them feel welcome in stopping and ask questions about the heritage of the Fell Pony. This weekend we met families who remembered sisters, friends or mothers owning Fell ponies in the passed and we have shared some photos of these ponies we talked about.
